OUR HISTORY

THE BEGINNING OF THE MINISTRY

The church itself began out of God’s quest to raise a man who will correct the atrocities and heresies plotted by false Ministers of God (I John 4:1). As a result, He raised Prophet Odedoyin Olawumi Ezekiel with His supernatural and unchallengeable Power. Out of his struggle against accepting that divine call, he later succumbed and that gave birth to operation as a fellowship on Tuesdays and Fridays which later turned to become an everyday program as a result of experiencing signs and wonders such as the dead being raised up, the blind regained sight, kidney disease was healed, the insane were made whole, the barren became mothers, the lame walked, the deaf could hear, just to mention a few.

All these happened in Modakeke Osun State Nigeria at the mountain opposite CAN building Aranse Olu area, Modakeke, Osun State. A lot of people gave their lives to Jesus Christ. He never thought of establishing a church, but God told him he needed to use the power He gave to him to increase the kingdom of God. He would be there from Monday to Sunday to attend to the people that came for deliverance, counselling and God’s message. He loved evangelism and winning souls for Christ; at times he spent his money meant for food and house rent for ministration.

DIVINE INSTRUCTION & THE BIRTH OF THE CHURCH

God told him that if he must carry out these duties he has been assigned to do, he must walk in a way that will meet up with His standard and He gave him the doctrines and commandments that the church must adhere to and follow. Some of them include not praying using any other name apart from the name of Jesus Christ.

After a while, while expecting God’s promise regarding church establishment, one of the members MR. TUNDE EDWARD ADEGOKE (now a pastor) came with some members to ask the prophet why he hadn’t started conducting Sunday service. The prophet told him that God had confirmed that it must start through him.

Mr. Tunde together with two people started the first Sunday service in NOVEMBER 2017. The next Sunday people that God had prepared came, including MR. AYOBAMI TAIWO (now a pastor). Mr. Tunde and eighteen people altogether attended the first Sunday service. God had prepared many people who were expecting the church and the number grew rapidly.

Subsequently many pastors showed up including Fawale Toba, Opayemi Isaiah, Temitayo Ajewole, Akinade Julius and many more.

PERSECUTION & GOD’S DELIVERANCE

The church of God became popular and well known, but before that there were many challenges the church had to navigate because of the way we preached the undiluted true message of Christ. One of them was persecution by CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA MEMBERS in Modakeke, TRADITIONAL WORSHIPPERS AND ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS LEADERS. But God stood by His words and His Church.

Many antagonists of this ministry (CFASM) fell sick, some died untimely—for example the head of hunters in Modakeke, Osun State, “OLU ODE OF MODAKEKE” and many more.

EXPANSION & GLOBAL IMPACT

The church later moved to its own acquired land at AKALA GROUND off TORO ROAD, MODAKEKE. The church also held mobile evangelism in various cities, where various signs and wonders were recorded even up till today in all assemblies all over the world.

Thereafter, the fellowship experienced an exponential increase with many more youths, women and men who came to experience and thirst for the raw power of God. This led to the formation of the Church and it spread in Osun State, other states in Nigeria and abroad.

The organization has since then become a global network of churches with congregations in Nigeria and abroad.
